Web Pages

This my web pages site is basically on the Internet,Fundamentals of Web Authoring, Networking Fundamentas, and Web Programming, or the "Net" as it is commonly called, is a puplicly accessible internet-connected system of networks that spans the globe. This network of networks gives users and organizations throughout the world the ability to share and distribute information in a vast array of electronic formats, including electronic mail, Web pages, audio, and video.

Thinking about computer viruses can conjure up images of lost data, e-mail, or word processing documents. Viruses introduce the possibility of losing crucial company information due to a problematic piece of code traversing your computer system. A virus is usually a small program or application that, when activated or opened, performs a mischievous task. Viruses can be very destructive and, because they are common, must be protected against. Generally, a virus is designed to automatically replicate and spread to other computers via the program itself or files or e-mail passed between users. Viruses can be transmitted as attachments to an e-mali or viruses can be broken down into the following three main categories: File infectors Boot record infectors Macro viruses

One of the most important functions that a computer can perform in a network is that of a Server. In networking, a server is any computer that provides services or resources for other computers. Common resources that are provided by servers include files, applications, and printers. A server may also provide a service, such as security, to protect those resources

Peer-to-Peer Networks:

A peer-to-peer network is a network where the security and resources are not centralized or protected via a centralized source. In other words there is no one authority for the network. Network resources can be distributed across any and all hosts on the network and each host is reaponsible for providing security (if any) for the resources it is providing.

Web Based Networking

Web based , or collaborative, networks provide network information to clients in a format compatible with Web-based applications, such as Web browsers. Many organizations have set up internal Web-based networks. These intranets allow individuals within the organization to locate corporate information via their Web browser. This corporate information may include information on the following: Customers Meetings Sales Job postings Corporate news E-mail Think of intranets as private versions of the Internet.
